the golden mom
Today, we celebrated my Mom's 50th birthday here at home. The preparation started as early as yesterday, as I have said in my earlier post. Mom even rent a karaoke machine - her dream celebration since she thought of it.
FYI, my mom and my grandmother (her mom) have the same birthday, so it's like a double celebration. Plus, it is also a post-celebration of my high school graduation, and mom's passing the board exam for nursing... so, to compute it, it's quadruple celebration. This was the celebration promised when we didn't make any celeb for my graduation last March, and when Mom passed the exam.
The cake. Actually, it's a gift from someone.
The real celebrants: my Mom and my grandmother - both in Red.
My Mom blowing the 2 small candles.
Only Dad and I were present for today's celebration. My brother and sister might come this coming weekend since they have work. It might be just another celebration!
The early birds had the opportunity to be part of the group picture. Hahaha. The three persons at the right-most are my cousins. They would be going to Manila today. And I think, at this time, they should have arrived.
The theme of this celebration is basically having karaoke. It's my Mom's favorite thing to do, especially in celebrations like these, so there. Some of her former officemates and classmates in nursing came. My cute little cousins also came. (I'm about to upload a cute slideshow of them.) My Dad's friends also came, all the way from Goa. And up until this moment, I can hear them singing, specifically singing "Hero".
What a fun day. Even though I don't have a gift for my Mom, I still am grateful for this celebration. I know I'm gonna give her someday! Hahaha!

new phone, (fast) internet gone

Today, Mom and Dad decided to have our new landline. This is in connection with 2 things.
First, we lost our cordless phone about a week ago. This was when we were playing badminton in the garden. While I was playing with my Dad, Mom was using the phone, and then she put it on the car for a while. Then, Dad bought something and used the car. But then, we forgot that the phone was on the car. That's why it was lost.
Second thing is my going to college this coming June. Since I will leave Naga for a long time, no one will use the broadband. This new phone we have now has dial-up internet. But it's OK.
This for now... goodbye fast internet! :(
kwentuhan part 2
One of our kwentuhan in our last outing in Calabanga - discussing about the canister scandal in Cebu.
the preparation
Everyone is busy right now (except me, though) preparing for tomorrow's celebration of my Mom's 50th birthday. They're cleaning and rearrranging the house a bit. And Ate Liza's cleaning the plates, and the utensils for the food.
The celebration was said to be triple - for Mom's birthday, for Mom's passing the exam, for my high school graduation. Hmmm... :D
PS: Mom was very happy with her carbonara because she cooked it herself!
4218 Reunion (Calabanga)
Finally, natuloy na rin ang reunion ng LG 4218, SY 07-08. We had it at Cate's Resort and Recreation in Calabanga last May 19-20, 2008.
We first met at Ateneo de Naga Main Campus to wait for the others. Here's a couple of pictures:

Before heading to Calabanga, they bought some food first in Residencia. While the girls were buying some food, pumunta muna kami kina Arcci, para pilitin siya to come with us! And yes, Aisha was there, too. Sadly, hindi si Arcci pinayagan:
Sa bahay yan nila Arcci! :D At talagang sumugod pa kami sa bahay nila, total, malapit lang naman. :D Ayaw ni Aisha to have a pic, so I will not bother to post any. She might see this one! :DD We also saw Magno, and try to invite him!!! :D
We traveled longer than expected. We thought we would be able to swim at around 6 because the meeting time was 5. But we arrived at 7 pm. And we still had the dinner. It was a very CLEAN and fun dinner. We ate using 2 banana leaves with the aid of our hands!:
After the dinner, of course, we swam! I don't have any pictures while we were swimming because we used Ken's and Ma'am Asther's camera. So go hunt them. :D We also played with the resort's lamp posts, since it they creat a good banaag effect with lights. An example is this:
After all the fun, most of us slept in the cottage itself, but comfortably. It's a remarkable thing 6 of us have not slept. We just had a chat until early morning. When everyone was awake, we had this funny pictorial with me being the photographer! Wahaha. Here are some:
Banaags waiting for the sunrise. Most of them still sleepy yet. A nice view, innit?
Joy, Dea and Angel with partial view of the resort before sunrise.
The three of them trying to make a parody of Saan Ka Man Naroroon.
Before we left the resort, Ma'am Asther gave us a small gift she got from her trip to Bohol. Some had bracelet (nice Dea), and keychains. Me, I had this one, a tarsier.
And that was it, a successful "at-last" reunion for our class. One of the last ones, but it won't be the last! After this one, we went to McDo back in Naga City to have some breakfast.
Kat and Hubert.
Dea and Magno.

cousins :D
Today, my cousins and my aunt came over, and brought us some buko juice! Here are some pictures while having a chat in the office:
All of us made this pose:
This is JGo, my cousin.
This is JM, JGo's younger sister.
She's Tita Pidz, JM and JGo's mom! :D
This is our grandmother. Haha! But it's not her hand!
It's my Mom!!!
And this is me! :D
My 2 cousins and my Mom.
Plus, my grandma!
JGo!
My Mom doing the Singing Bee gesture.
I'll upload the videos in a while. Hahaha! You better watch out for it. :D
mom and her curtain
My Mom was very excited about her new curtain. It's the blue one, and she really likes it, even decided to have a picture with it. :D She bought it yesterday, and was very happy about it! This is in our office last night.

danny in words
Here's a description of me Ken made:
Danny is a friend, singer, dancer, actor, model, artist and webmaster all rolled into one. Of all the people I’ve met in my life, he is one of the few people whom I am really comfortable with. Though we only truly hanged out this fourth year, I never doubted his extraversion, skills and altruism. Actually, he is one of the few people whom I felt care from. Given this, he is all that you would want from a friend and a brother. Given these and his very positive disposition in life, he is sometimes taken for granted. But he is also a fighter and I’ve seen the staunchness of his character first-hand. So Danny, kick butt in Ateneo. I believe that you’ll go the distance.
I find it funny, though - ever since, he calls me Danny! :P
For more of these interesting descriptions to our other classmates, just go here.

tabatabachingching
These videos are from my brother's phone. I thought mom would be glad seeing these once I get back to Naga! :D
some pictures

This is me before leaving Naga last May 12 evening. I'm just surprised and alarmed seeing my face VERY round - a proof of getting fat! :(
This is the clinic where I had my medex. While waiting for the doctor to call me, I just thought of taking this pic.
This is my brother - when we had dinner yesterday at Teriyaki Boy in Gateway.

Awww... these are my nieces. They're so cute, aren't they? And FYI, I haven't seen the younger one, the one with no sunglasses. :D
i'm home >:D<
At last, after 2 days (and as if it was very, very long...!) I'm home sweet home. I have just arrived from Manila early this morning. And boy was I so tired! :( The past 2 days were a hectic, but productive days for me while I was in Manila with my Dad!
We left last Monday (May 12) evening and took bus from Naga to Cubao. And then, early May 13 morning, we checked in at Jade Vine Hotel. And then we slept for an hour or so. We headed directly to Ateneo de Manila and process some school stuffs. And then, we discovered we overlooked something and I had to have my medical examination as soon as I can. We called my cousin to ask for help, and then went to Megamall, and had my medex. After the long first day in Manila (and FYI, with no private car!), we waited for my sister in the hotel. She treated us dinner at Max's near the hotel. Yummy dinner, I remember! Hahaha!
And then, the next day was the CEP exam!!! We left the hotel about 7 am, and we arrived at Ateneo very early... so there... And I finally saw my classmate, Merce, who would be taking the exam as well. The exam was from 9-11 am. Merce finished about 10, and I 10:30. After the exam, we hurried to Megamall to get my Xray results, and had lunch there. And then, headed back again to Ateneo (shame, the rushest thing ever! - going back and forth). At last... all things done and no more problems. Whew! About 3 pm, we went to Cubao, and used our remaining hours (what a phrase!) at the malls everywhere.
We met with my brother and Ate Alfa, his wife. We had dinner at Teriyaki in Gateway. Yummy again, I remember. And then, that was a job well done, time to go to the bus station again, to Naga. And this morning, we had breakfast at Bigg's, since there was no transpo yet. :D
A big WHEW.

Manila
Tonight, my Dad and I will be going to Manila. Tomorrow, we are planning to go to Ateneo to make my ID picture taken, and to pass my medical form. We will also confirm my dorm slot! And then, on Wednesday, I will take my CEP (Modern Mathematics).
I'm a bit disappointed because I thought Mom will be with us. And I thought, we'll buy my new laptop in Manila. But I guess we have to buy it here in Bicol. :(
But anyway, I'll have my laptop still! :D

a different mother's day
The day started when Liza left and she'll be back on Tuesday morning. Of course, I greeted my Mom a very happy mother's day, but sadly, I didn't have any gift for her. While eating breakfast, Tita Pidz called said they (with uncle and cousins) will pass by and have some coffee with us. After having breakfast, we attended church around 11 am. We had lunch at Tita Pidz. And then, we went to LCC and then Mom bought me my new slippers in Itti - an unexpected happening. My dad was supposed to be looking for his new sandals, but he couldn't find any! And then, we had Ice Craze for snacks. And then, bought some movies to watch for tonight.
And before I forget, Tita Pidz taught my Mom how to play tong-its. My Mom was very hooked, that's why, as of now, three of us (Dad and Mom) are playing it. My Dad just left to buy some snacks for tonight while watching a movie! :D
the week in pictures

Last May 6, when we went to Legazpi. This is a bank here in Naga, and while waiting for my Mom, I just took photos. :D This is my Dad.
Fiesta in Goa last May 8. These were the food.
2 cousins and a friend in Goa.
Visit in Tinambac.
for the past week
I can't blog much because there are many events that were happening. And yes, I'm dying to tell this here in my blog. There was the annual fiesta in Goa, our visit to my grandma's house in Tinambac. + the result for my dorm and scholarship applications arrived! It's just that when my parents are here, I don't have this time alone dedicated to blogging. Thank God, I am able to post this... but I want to post pictures sooner!
Anyway... Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, especially to my Mom!!! Love you! :D

surprisingly surprised
Nag-aaral ako ng College Algebra and Trigonometry by Leithold nang bigla kong nakita na napakdumi pala ng office room. And I started to clean here and clean there. The room was too messy for me, and I can't afford to breathe again another time seeing those disorganized things. While I was moving the last bit of mess, someone knocked at the gate. I went out of the room and a man asked if I know a man named Danilo Villarey. Hell, that's my name! But in this case, there are 3 Danilos in this lot. So I guessed there was a mail for 1 of the three of us.
And they my heart beat so fast! Waaah! I was right! The mail I was expecting since eons finally arrived. It's a letter from ADMU stating that I had been accepted for the dormitory. Thank God! I was worried for days waiting for this because I didn't know if I was accepted or not, and May arrived already. But anyway, I'm really excited!!! I can't even wait blogging about this!!! Yes!!!
My only problem now is my application for scholarship. Updates aren't coming yet! I just wish I'm qualified just like my sister! :D
This for now! :D
badminton
My Mom and I played badminton this morning at our garden. It was tiring and perpiring of course. But we stopped because the sun was getting hotter, still a sign of summer. But this afternoon, right after lunch, it started to get darker with a little of thunder - crazy weather for May, the turning over of summer to rainy season. Well, you see, I love rainy season than summer!
forgotten dreams
I was a bit annoyed when I was about to blog. I forgot my 2 dreams for the past 2 days. And, you see, I was excited on telling these in my blog. But anyway, I know those were the most weird and the happiest dreams yet!
:D
What a post!
eyeing my true love
Yesterday was a tiring day for me that's why I didn't make any posts. And besides, both my parents are here, and I can't afford to tell stories in my blog while they are around! :D
Traveling alone was the hard part. But before we went to Legazpi, we dropped by Philamlife and a bank. When we arrived in Legazpi, we had lunch at Bigg's. We went to PRC because my mom registered. She is now a nurse! :D And then, we went to OWWA where my Dad did something I don't know, process papers, etc...
After these things, we went malling. Haaay. They had me shopping, well... little shopping! Mom bought me my clothes that I'll be using when I go to Manila. And then, something happened!!!
I saw my true love... it was a love at first sight. Can't believe it. From then on, I can't stop thinking about it. Here she is:
And I guess, I will be with her when I go to Manila! :D

for may 5
Shame, I can't think of any decent title, so there.
What happened today, eh? I've been watching most of HappySlip's YouTube videos today. I never realized she was Filipina until she said "naku" and "o my gulay". Funny! Also... for the first time, in my own Potter history, I listened to an episode (#144) of MuggleCast! It was fun, though. Tried to understand what is happening in "our" world right now.
And also!!! My dad arrived, and he's with my sister right now in Manila! Woooh. At long last! He's back. And I bet he will be teaching me rough College Algebra for the remaining days before CEP since he was about to buy the reference book when I was talking to him over the phone, with my sister being so noisy that she already told Dad I had my new phone! That was supposed to be a surprise! Urgh!
Anyway... the day was a 3 out of 5. :D
daddy come home
I just learned today my Dad will be arriving in Manila this afternoon, about 4 or 5 pm. I don't know if he stopped over Germany or other countries in Europe, but I am so sure that he came from Africa, specifically Libya.
I just wonder what he has now. And I'm really waiting him because he is the one who usually cooks here, and he does cook good food! :D
This for now.

Potter-reading day
I've been spending all day re-reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! I thought I couldn't make it today, to blog. But it seems I'm doing it right now! Haha!
Spent the day reading HBP, watching TV, and reading HBP! :D
I really wanted to have an outing, swimming or something like that. And May 11 is still way faaaaar! 1 week more! Shame, I'm tired of staring at my invisible mental calendar. One week more! I'm suuuuuper excited!!!
My mom will arrive tomorrow early morning. Good thing, though. I would be one person less bored! :D I just wish something "different" will happen because Summer Is Killing Me! And this year, Summer Isn't A Vacation, It's A Killer! Urgh! :D

another Potter dream
I'm very happy again today that I had another Potter-related dream! I never realized it until about a minute or so after I woke up. I woke up because it was getting hotter when the air con automatically stopped, so I nearly forgot about it!
The dream was so realistic. We, my friends (that I have not recognized) and I, had an exclusive private interview with JK Rowling herself plus a man I didn't see much, maybe it was Arthur Levine, maybe...
I forgot the whole talk but I remember that my friends were really asking them questions never been asked before. Whew! So real! While they were asking them, I think I even video them while talking! Haha!
Fantastic. I wish it was real. :(

This is a picture in my Multiply that is set to private. And it shows! Thank God! I will have no problem in uploading here in Blogger! =D
This picture is from a day with Ken and Arcci, when we planned to have a class day. But then, it didn't happen! :(

Hey, guys! Here's a video I saw in my phone just today. And I forgot about it and haven't uploaded it since. Anyway, here it is:
This video was from Carlo's birthday celebration around March 24, I think. Enjoy the silliness! Ha!
